Government support to make EV charging accessible for everyone.
The EV Chargepoint Grant provides funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing a smart home charger, capped at £350. While the grant for single-family homeowners has ended, it remains a vital resource for renters and flat owners across the UK.
You are likely eligible for the £350 OZEV Grant if you meet the following criteria:
Government funding is still available for these specific groups.
Renters & Tenants
Whether you rent a house or an apartment, you can claim up to £350. You just need a long-term tenancy agreement and permission from your landlord to install your EV home charger.
Flat & Apartment Owners
If you own a flat (leasehold or freehold) with a dedicated off-street parking bay, you qualify for the grant. Upgrade your parking space with a smart EV charging point today.
Are You a Landlord?
Boost your property value and attract EV-driving tenants. Landlords can claim up to £350 per socket (up to 200 applications per year) for residential or commercial properties.
To secure your £350 saving, your installation must meet these standards.
Dedicated Off-Street Parking
You must have a clearly defined, private parking space. This can be a driveway, a garage, or a designated bay in a private car park that is linked to your property.
Landlord/Management Consent
Because the work involves the building's exterior and electrical supply, you must have written permission from the property owner or the management company before we begin.
Smart Charger Tech
The grant only applies to "Smart" chargers. At Aero, all our EV charging units are OZEV-approved and feature smart-scheduling to help you charge at the cheapest rates.
Is your car on the approved list?
Full Battery Electric (BEV)
100% of fully electric vehicles are eligible for the OZEV grant. If your car has no tailpipe emissions, you are ready to save.
Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV)
Your hybrid must be capable of significant electric-only range. To qualify, the vehicle must have CO2 emissions calculated at under 50g/km.
Leased & Company Cars
You don't have to "own" the car outright. If you have a lease agreement or a company car for at least 6 months, you can still claim the £350 installation grant.
Is your car grant-ready?
Most full-battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are eligible. For plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), the vehicle must have calculated CO2 emissions under 50g/km.
