Boost mode charges your vehicle immediately at the maximum available power, making it ideal when you need extra range without waiting for your scheduled charging period.
If you have solar panels, Eco mode helps prioritise renewable energy generated by your home while still allowing grid electricity to supplement your charging when required.
This makes it useful when you want to increase your use of home-generated energy without waiting for a completely sunny day

Super Eco mode prioritises surplus solar generation and won't deliberately draw electricity from the grid to charge your vehicle.
The charger can automatically respond to changes in available solar generation, making it easier to put your excess renewable energy to work.

A CT clamp monitors the energy flowing through your property, allowing the charger to identify surplus solar generation and adjust charging accordingly.

Your home has a maximum electrical capacity, and your charger needs to work alongside everything else using electricity.
ALM continuously monitors your property's electricity demand. If you switch on high-powered appliances while your car is charging, the Hypervolt can automatically reduce its charging power or pause charging if necessary.
When demand around your home decreases, charging can increase again automatically.
This helps prevent your home's electrical supply from becoming overloaded while allowing your EV to continue charging whenever there is capacity available.
The Hypervolt Home 3 Pro can work with compatible smart electricity tariffs, helping you take advantage of lower-cost charging periods.
With Intelligent Octopus Go, for example, Octopus can calculate when your vehicle should charge based on your target departure time and available cheaper electricity periods, then communicate that schedule directly to your Hypervolt charger.
Your charging schedule is also stored locally on the charger, meaning an existing schedule can continue to operate even if the charger temporarily loses its internet connection.

It's rated IP66 for water and dust protection and IK10 for impact protection, making it particularly robust for a home EV charger.

Is the Hypervolt Home 3 Pro compatible with my electric vehicle?
Yes. The Home 3 Pro is available with a tethered Type 2 cable, which is compatible with the vast majority of EVs sold in the UK. A Type 1 version is also available for compatible vehicles.
Does the Hypervolt Home 3 Pro work with solar panels?
Yes. The Home 3 Pro supports solar charging through its Eco and Super Eco charging modes. A CT clamp is required to monitor your home's energy flow and identify surplus solar generation.
Can I use a cheaper electricity tariff with the Hypervolt?
Yes. Hypervolt supports compatible smart tariffs, including Intelligent Octopus Go. The tariff provider can create a charging schedule based on when you need your vehicle ready, allowing charging to take place during cheaper periods.
Do I need Wi-Fi?
The Home 3 Pro uses Wi-Fi for its internet connection and also features Bluetooth for local connectivity. A hardwired Ethernet connection can also be installed if preferred, which Hypervolt notes can provide a more stable connection than Wi-Fi in some installations.
Can I charge my car immediately?
Yes. Boost mode allows you to start charging immediately at the maximum available power. You can also use Plug & Charge if you prefer your vehicle to start charging as soon as it's connected.
What is Automatic Load Management?
Automatic Load Management monitors your home's electricity demand and adjusts the charger's power output when necessary. For example, if your oven, tumble dryer and other high-powered appliances are running while your car is charging, the Hypervolt can reduce the charging rate to prevent your home's electrical supply from becoming overloaded.
Can I use solar and grid electricity together?
Yes. Eco mode is designed to prioritise solar energy while allowing grid electricity to supplement the charge when there isn't enough solar generation available. If you want to use surplus solar only, Super Eco mode prioritises solar-only charging.
How long is the Hypervolt Home 3 Pro cable?
